Recount as many ridings as possible and maybe, just maybe, add in a little potential (Alleged) *cough cough* voter fraud 😉 and you are square! In the riding of Terrebonne, Quebec, the Liberal candidate took the seat by a single vote. A riding where the BLOC has controlled since 2015, and where the Liberals haven’t controlled since 1980 somehow managed to turn red? The addition of this seat now brings Carney to 170 seats, and 2 away from a majority. The recount of votes led to the addition of 74 voters being added, which were distributed among 4 candidates.
“It’s surprising. Absolutely… I’ve always been skeptical because these are often ridings that have promised the Liberals but often failed to deliver,” said Jeremy Ghio, a former advisor to minister Mélanie Joly.
