20,000 Indian students cheated their way into Canada through our international student programs.
These “students” entered Canada claiming to attend school and yet didn’t enroll in their selected colleges/universities. These students illegally committed immigration fraud and are running around free in Canada. The status of Canada’s borders and immigration policies has been under fire when cases like these take place. Other examples include students entering Canada and working instead of studying. Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada released a statistic that 50,000 (20,000 from India) international students did not attend school once they entered Canada.
This has led to increased scrutiny on the vetting process for international students and calls for stricter regulations to prevent such abuses.
