Round 18 of the Super League ends, with Olympiakos still on top with 40 points. PAO drops down to 3rd place after their tie against Panserraikos FC, and AEK climbs to 2nd place with their victory against Athens Kallithea FC.
AEK won their match with a 2-0, scored by Mitoglu and Lamela. The rain delayed the match towards the end, and led to an addition of 4 minutes, in which Lamela scored the second goal at 90+3′. In other news, PAOK continue to crush their chances at rising the ranks, as they lost their match today against Volos FC. PAOK seemed to be in the clear, with their first goal of the match scored by Camara in the second half. But once the game entered additional time, PAOK seemed to be in distress. The first came with an own goal by PAOK’s Giannis Michailidis, and immediately afterwards, a second goal for Volos by their player Conde left the score at 2-1 for Volos. Volos may have not had the most ball possession compared to PAOK, but Volos did have more shots on target, 6 compared to PAOK’s 4.
