Trudeau goes back on his immigration policy – 395,000 per year compared to 500,000

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to decrease new permanent residents into Canada to 395,000 per year compared to his original 500,000.
Not a major change, but yet still a change in the right direction, as Canadians feel the impact of too much immigration in the country.
“With the plan we’re announcing today, along with previously announced measures, we’re making our immigration system work better.” said Trudeau. Immigration Minister Marc Miller said the lower immigration numbers will help with the housing shortage. Looks like the Liberal government is finally listening to Conservatives and right-wing talking points. As the Liberals fail to run a country, they turn over to right-wing policies in order to fix the almost irreversible damage they have caused.
