Trudeau’s continuous failed anti-gun plans – Canada buyback program

Does anyone remember Trudeau’s federal firearm buyback program that was announced back in 2020? Neither do I! The reason for that is because this program has not bought back a single firearm, yet has cost the government, which in turn costs taxpayers $67.2 million.
This useless program was created by the Liberals, in order to compensate law abiding citizens who now, because of Trudeau’s anti-gun stances, own banned types of assault rifles. Not much is outlined within this useless program, but the only known fact is that gun owners are required to by 2025, ‘turn in, deactivate or dispose of outlawed weapons’.
“$67 million is an incredible, shocking amount of money to spend on a program that doesn’t yet exist, which ultimately targets licensed, trained, law-abiding gun owners and not criminals,” said Senate opposition leader Donald Plett. Currently the government has spent $67 million on wasted funds, but that number is expected to rise. Once the 2025 deadline arrives, it is estimated to cost $756 million in buyback payments. Useless spending, targeted at making Canada safer, by punishing law-abiding citizens.
Great work Liberals!
