Studies show Carbon tax isn’t needed to reach 2030 emissions goal

“Even if Ottawa scrapped its carbon tax that consumers pay on gasoline and other fuels, Canada could reach the 2030 goal by leaning on other policies”. Those are the words of Mark Zacharias, executive director of think tank Clean Energy Canada. Trudeau uses the carbon tax to target big corporations, tax the hell out of Canadians and force big industrial polluters to shut down. But targeting big polluters alone won’t help Canada’s efforts at Trudeau’s 2030 goal. And yet currently the tax remains, and Canadians are feeling the pinch in their day-to-day lives. The left-wing idea of a carbon tax is so bad that even other leftists want it gone. British Columbia’s left-leaning premier David Eby, made a statement that if it wasn’t for Trudeau’s law of forcing provinces to impose a carbon tax, it would be removed from BC. Even socialist New Democratic Party (NDP) Leader Jagmeet Singh said he supports ‘other’ efforts to fight climate change that do not include the carbon tax.
“The consumer carbon tax is a political albatross right now and I don’t know if there’s going to be any recovery from the damage and misinformation around it,” said Zacharias.
The CPC is also in support of ‘axing the tax’, of coruse, this talking point is being stolen from the PPC. Yet the so called ‘Conservatives’ CPC have not stated if they will maintain the industrial carbon tax if they were in power.
Despite the fact that this tax still exists, the only people who suffer are your average Canadian.
Not only is it effecting the people, but also the government! Canada’s economy, according to government statistics, says that the carbon tax will cost our nation’s GDP around $25 billion! This is shocking information. but what is more shocking is that the Liberals only released this news because they were under tense pressure from opposition.
