Homelessness in Toronto has doubled since Chow takes office

According to a new city survey, Toronto’s homelessness has become a “crisis” as the rate has doubled since 2021.
Latest reports from October 2024 have shown a great increase compared to reports from 2021. Since being elected in 2023, Mayor Olivia Chow has done little to nothing to help this growing crisis. All the mayor has done is spend money on useless parades, spend money on unnecessary street name changes, and raise taxes on Torontonians.
“When multiple systems such as affordable housing, health care, mental health, income support, and the justice system fail, people are left with nowhere to turn and the shelter system or staying in encampments becomes the option of last resort,” the survey says. A useless mayor mixed together with an even more useless federal government has shown to leave us with horrible results. Remember what the new Liberal housing minister said? Canadians “don’t need” cheap housing! This is what our Leftist overlords decreed! Welcome to Toronto, where the people voted for this and now they complain as they watch the crisis unfold.
