Bill C-2: Mark Carney’s Leftist Authoritarian government overreach has begun

Remember back when Trudeau rolled in his internet censorship bill?
We’ve got more in store with the all-new Bill C-2! This new bill, proposed by Carney’s Liberals that is currently being debated and on its 2nd reading.
The purpose of this bill, according to the Liberals, is so that Canada can align itself with the United States and take a tougher stance on border security. Yet hidden within this bill, is multiple extreme measures that have nothing to do with security and instead encourage spying on Canadians along with a turn towards an authoritarian state. Some contents of this bill include:

  • Increased surveillance and privacy violations (which include allowing police to open private letters sent by Canada Post)
  • An increase in police powers without proper oversight or accountability (allowing police more powers to do what they want without a judge’s permission)
  • Outlawing cash payments for purchases/donations over $10,000
  • And government overreach

What does any of this have to do with border security, especially since all these rules also can apply to already Canadian citizens and not just migrants? This Bill is extremely radical, that some ven call it worse than anything Trump is doing for border security. The implications for civil liberties are alarming, as these measures could potentially erode the fundamental rights and freedoms of Canadian citizens. By expanding surveillance and police powers, the bill threatens to infringe on privacy, free expression, and due process. This raises serious concerns about the balance between national security and individual rights in a democratic society.
