The Liberals have turned the Armed Forces into 72% obese soldiers

Military leaders in Canada have warned about the shocking number of overweight soldiers in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Senior military leaders have been warned that “Obesity prevalence has been slowly increasing for many years,” according to a military briefing. The prevalence of this has led to an increase in medical leave, and a decrease in military readiness. 44% of military personnel are classified as overweight, while 28% are considered obese. 72% of the Canadian Armed Forces are fat, plain and simple. The Department of National Defence (DND), rather than trying to fix the issue, attempted to have the reports hidden from the general public. “I think the DND was hiding the records because they’re embarrassed,” said Ottawa-based researcher Ken Rubin. The fitness levels of Canadian soldiers are on the decline. This decline in fitness is a serious threat to the military’s ability to fight effectively. The DND needs to take action to improve the health and fitness of its personnel. This is not the first time information like this has emerged. In 2020, documents stated that 61% of military personnel had seen a decline in physical fitness. The standards for the Armed Forces have dropped. The past has shown that, in order to remain in the military, soldiers would have had to adhere to a diet and undergo fitness tests. Since then, the Liberal government has lowered standards for soldiers, resulting in disappointing results.
