Canada remains deeply concerned for the situation in Gaza, and would like to make it your problem ||$3,000 for Gazans arriving in Canada

You read the title correctly folks. You can still count on the government to waste your tax dollars.
Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, made an announcement stating that Palestinians who have arrived in Canada are able to collect financial support in order to help them get homes and other basic needs. Funny. Where is basic support for Canadians?
“The assistance will consist of a direct, one-time payment of $3,000 per adult and $1,500 per child (17 years and under). To make sure those who are already in Canada, or will be arriving in the coming months, are able to quickly access financial assistance,” stated on the government of Canada website. This is not all. Palestinian refugees who qualify for the temporary residence fast-track pathway established by the Liberals will be able to claim three months of taxpayer-funded temporary health coverage and a fee-exempt study or open work permit. Apperently the already $215 million that the Liberals gave to Gaza and the West Bank wasn’t enough.
What makes the situation ten times worse is that most people do not believe the government is capable of vetting all these refugees. Potential terrorist threats may enter the country, and receive funding on top of that.
“While it is extremely difficult for people to exit Gaza at this time, Canada is making sure the necessary support is in place for Gazans as they start to arrive in our country,” said the ministry. Many express concern about the allocation of resources, questioning why similar support is not extended to struggling Canadians and worrying about the potential security risks associated with inadequate vetting processes.
