“Every four years you get an election. Like, democracy is not going anywhere folks,” said the Minister. The minister urged Canadians to stop supporting parties that call for a snap election, and that things will get done if the election date stays on its original planned for October 2025. The minister said that it is important to have a stable government that can focus on long-term solutions. He argued that it is important to give the government the opportunity to do its job and that a snap election would be an unnecessary disruption. The minister concluded that it is essential to keep to the current election timeline to ensure stability, progress, and effective leadership. “We have a set election day. Shouldn’t we use the set election day?” said Holland.
