AEK beat
PAOK 1-0 in their first round (of two), in the second group stage Greek cup match. Lamela scored the winning goal, making him the MVP of the match at around 53′ well into the second half. AEK had previously scored a goal during the first half, but the goal was later disallowed.
In the end, AEK’s determination paid off and they were able to secure a narrow victory.
