He has been charged with two counts under the Security of Information Act: preparatory acts for the benefit of a foreign entity, and conspiracy. Canadians as well as political officials have always been skeptical of Chinese interference in Canadian politics, and this seems to just be another addition to the massive evidence pile in favour of this claim.
