When confidence votes are called, the Bloc Québécois says it is ready to align itself with Justin Trudeau. As the Liberals’ confidence and supply agreement with the NDP ended, Yves-François Blanchet’s French Bloc party says it wants to be on top with the Liberals. But that support for Trudeau comes at a cost, as Blanchet draws up demands to present to the Liberals in return for this alliance.
The Bloc plans on using Trudeau for what they see as a benefit for Quebec, if they return back to power. In the ongoing discussions with the left-leaning parties, it all comes down to Justin Trudeau’s decision, and what will he give up in order to reach this new agreement?
