NDP leader Jagmeet Singh has been urged to backtrack on a supply-and-confidence deal with Trudeau by CPC leader Pierre Poilievre. This request was made by Poilievre in order to hold an election this October instead of the original October 2025 date. “Canadians can’t afford or even endure another year of this costly coalition. No one voted for you to keep Trudeau in power. You do not have a mandate to drag out his government for another year,” Poilievre said. Since polls suggest a CPC landslide victory, an early election is an advantage for the CPC, which makes it no surprise that he wants to hold one now. In the end, it is the NDP who will determine the fate of the nation. Staying with Trudeau for a potential shift in polling numbers might help the NDP, but be devastating for Canadians who so badly want Trudeau out now. Canadians cannot afford Trudeau’s policies, so the political elite, being the UNIPARTY in Canada must now see if they care more about the people or their party image in power. The CPC, NDP, Liberals, Greens, and the French BLOC are all what is considered the UNIPARTY by some. Being the term for political parties that share similar ideas, yet fly different colours. So even if an election were to happen and result in a CPC victory, only time will tell just how much change Canadians will receive. Pierre Poilievre talks a lot of games, has plans for big things, and hopefully will move on to those items and help Canadians, but his odd timing has put some Canadians in turmoil. Let’s not forget that Poilievre was not always there for the Freedom convoy, and was not initially supporting the rights of anti-vaxxers. Pierre Poilievre only spoke out on these issues once he felt the time was right, but not when Canadians needed him most at the beginning. Once again only time will tell, but this may be another political image stunt.
