A man in B.C. named Dillon Alexander Leon, 32, was previously arrested for allegedly setting fire to the St. James Catholic Church in Vernon. Despite facing charges of mischif and possession of incendiary material of up to $5,000, Leon was given bail the day after his arrest. “A couple of eyewitnesses near the St. James Catholic Church in Vernon saw an individual lighting a series of small fires on the property of that church — a couple of the fires were near the church, a couple were not near the church,” said crown prosecutor Alex Wheele. This is not the first time a church has been burned in Canada. Reports from True North show that at least 96 churches have been burned or destroyed since 2021. Due to Canada’s strong anti-Christian stance caused by the Liberals, this is not the first case of a church being burned, and it won’t be the last either. Yet mainstream media remains silent.
