Liberal housing Minister says housing costs are fine and don’t need to be lowered

Any Leftist or Rightist would agree that this statement is absurd. No one can justify this at all.
Canada’s new Housing and Infrastructure Minister, Gregor Robertson says he doesn’t think housing prices need to come down, and that the federal government should focus on building more homes. Yes, let’s not lower housing costs, but instead force Canadians to pay for expensive housing! When asked about housing prices coming down, Robertson said “No. I think that we need to deliver more supply, make sure the market is stable. It’s a huge part of our economy,”. Just as a side rant. As we all know, Vancouver has very expensive houses. This is the same man who previously served as the mayor of Vancouver. “He increased housing taxes in Vancouver by 141 per cent, and the result was that housing costs went up by 149 per cent,” said Pierre Poilievre during his criticism of Robertson.This demonstrates a clear lack of understanding of the housing crisis. Instead of addressing affordability, the focus is on increasing supply without considering the root causes of high housing costs. This approach risks exacerbating the problem rather than solving it, leaving many Canadians struggling to afford homes.
Here in Canada, we have homes. The Liberals just keep giving them to the millions of new immigrants they keep bringing in. Even if we lower immigration, the Liberals will still keep the costs high, as we already saw in Gregor Robertson’s statements. And don’t worry, CMHC will force you into the high costs!
