The Angus Reid Institute found that 62% of Canadians are concerned that the poor healthcare system in Canada leads socially and economically disadvantaged people to turn to MAID. According to 37% of health care workers surveyed, Canada’s mental health system is of poor or terrible quality for those who suffer from mental illness. As Canada’s healthcare system crumbles, the Liberals’ only solution seems to be, just shut up and die! Don’t want to wait the Liberals 3 weeks for a simple result? Kill yourself! Don’t like the 2 year waitlist? Death is one trip away! All funded and supported by the current Canadian government and its MPs!
This sort of treatment towards Canadians is disgusting and should be frowned upon. The ethical implications of MAID in Canada raise significant concerns about the value placed on human life and the accessibility of healthcare services. Critics argue that the availability of assisted dying may pressure vulnerable individuals, particularly those with limited access to medical resources, to choose death over life. In a first world country like Canada, a country within the G7 and G20, death should never be an option! Assisted suicide should never be encouraged or celebrated. Governments have a responsibility to ensure that all citizens have access to the resources they need to lead a healthy and productive life, within a reasonable time, in a healthcare system not broken and corrupt like the one we face before us.
