CPC early election plan fails

CPC leader Pierre Poilievre, who hyped up his party’s plans to call an early election by introducing a motion of non-confidence, is showing signs of weakness. Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-François Blanchet said in a statement to reporters that his party would support Trudeau’s Liberals during the vote and show support that an early election is not needed. In one word, Blanchet crushed the CPC’s ideal chances of an early election. “The motion contains absolutely nothing. It essentially says ‘would you like to replace Justin Trudeau with Pierre Poilievre,’ so the answer is no.” Blanchet said. The NDP is also predicted to be on the side of the Liberals, despite leaving the alliance between Trudeau and Singh. “I’m confident that (the NDP) understand the mood of Canadians, and the mood of Canadians is not to get into an election,” said Industry Minister François-Philippe Champagne.
