As a result of a surge in unemployment and record immigration numbers, Justin Trudeau announced on Monday that he would reduce the number of temporary foreign workers coming into Canada. Even though Justin Trudeau gave us an inch on our borders, it doesn’t help too much now that the ‘temporary’ immigrants are pushing for papers to stay. Trudeau also mentioned that employers will not be allowed to hire more than 10% of their workforce through the low-wage temporary foreign workers program (TFWs). Federal figures state that the unemployment rate is at an all-time high, with youth unemployment at 13.5%. While the youths are losing job opportunities, foreigners are gaining them, with 83,654 TFWs obtaining jobs in 2023 compared to 15,817 in 2016. “We’ll be looking at unemployment rates and opportunities to make further adjustments over the course of this fall as we come forward with comprehensive level plans that will respond to the reality that Canada’s facing now and in years and decades to come,” Trudeau said in a statement. For years, ‘diversity’ has been our strength, and ‘migrants are welcome’, and ‘you are racist if-‘ and blah blah blah was spilled out of the Liberals’ mouths. Now there is nothing but backfire and repealing previous garbage they put in place because guess what, left-wing policies don’t work!
