All property types would be affected by this tax and property owners would be taxed based on the amount of snow or rain that falls on their property. This is important, according to the city, because large amounts of water entering the sewage system can overload it, resulting in basement flooding. Thus, our horrendous sewage systems were solved by simply taxing everyone. Great solution! It doesn’t matter if they fix our sewage system, which they promised they would do, the tax will still stay, so what’s the point? Essentially, it’s another tax grab by our left-wing governments to take advantage of already struggling Canadians. Whatever you may think about this new tax, liberals will love it, while ordinary sane people will hate it. However, keep this in mind: they are taxing you on nature’s randomness.
